Robert Sanscartier, CEO of S&S Bolton Group and Honourary President of the
2010 Benefit Cocktail, Rosine Kaley, Executive Director of Action Housing
and Denis Losier, President of Action Housing
According to Denis Losier: ‘Thanks to the growing support from the Ottawa business community that Action Housing can continue to play a vital role within the region.’
This year saw the return of the Silent Art Auction which was a great success. The artists, who have lived through housing challenges, submitted interesting works of art. A part of the proceeds from the auction was donated to Action Housing.
First hand accounts by two clients from Action Housing brought to light the importance of the service that Action Housing provides to the National Capital Region. These women gave moving accounts of how the organization helped them in their time of need.
The evening ended with the announcement by Jim Zamprelli, a member of the Board of Action Housing and Member of the Selection Committee, of the winner of the 2010 Award of Recognition in Housing. This year the prize went to Monfort-Renaissance for the construction of the residence for the elderly on Murray St.
