Robert Sanscartier Gives Action Housing a Helping Hand

For immediate distribution

Ottawa, March 12th, 2010: To raise much-needed funds to continue to better serve the community, Action-Logement/Action Housing is organizing its 6th Annual Benefit Cocktail on Tuesday, September 28, 2010. Due to last year’s great success, the organizers will once again be holding the Action Logement/Action Housing Annual Silent Art Auction featuring artists who are facing or have had housing issues.

Mr. Robert Sanscartier, Founder of S&S Electric and winner of many prestigious awards of excellence in the region, has graciously accepted the Honourary Chair of the 6th Annual Benefit Cocktail. According to Mr. Sanscartier: “Having been involved in the housing sector for several years now, I am fully aware of the importance for each and everyone of having a roof over their head. I am proud of associating myself with Action-Logement / Action Housing, which has been doing amazing work for over twenty years so that persons and families in Ottawa can benefit from affordable housing.”

Mr Sanscartier founded S&S Electric in 1973 and is the former president of the Ottawa Carleton Home Builders Association. He is highly recognized in his field and has won such awards as: The Colonel Boss Award of the Ottawa Carleton Home Builders Association, the disctinction of Business Personality of the Year from the Chamber of Commerce of Ottawa, and the merit of Entrepreneur of the Year from the Regroupement des gens d’affaires de la capitale National, to name a few.

An Advisory Committee is working on ensuring a successful 2010 Cocktail, which should attract at least 200 people from politicians, members of the business community, community organizations as well as the general public.

It is therefore with great enthusiasm that Action-Logement/Action Housing welcomes Mr. Robert Sanscartier as Honorary Chair of its 6th Annual Cocktail.
