 ACTION-LOGEMENT/ACTION HOUSING’S GOURMET FUNDRAISER

For Immediate Release

Ottawa, September 15th, 2010: In two weeks from now, Action-Logement/Action Housing’s 6th Annual Gourmet Fundraiser will be bringing politicians and prominent members of the business and not-for-profit communities together to raise funds and increase awareness of the plight of those seeking safe and affordable housing in the Ottawa region. The fundraiser will feature delicious food, wines from a local winery, live music, a Silent Art Auction with a dozen artists that have at one point faced housing challenges, the 2010 Award of Recognition in Housing, testimonials, and much more. The event will be held on September 28th, 2010 from 5pm to 7pm in the Jean Pigott Hall at Ottawa City Hall.

Action Housing has received tremendous support this year from both its community partners and its sponsors. It is thanks to this support that Action Housing is able to continue providing the community with the excellent service it has been providing for now over twenty years. According to the Cocktail’s honorary president Robert Sanscartier, CEO of S&S Bolton Group,
“An organization such as Action Housing is essential in today's difficult economic climate. A roof over one's head is the single most important necessity for individuals and families. Action Housing helps those who are at risk of becoming homeless. Preventing crisis situations in housing is a daily reality for the Action Housing staff.”
