About Us
Action-Housing was founded in 1989 by members of Housing Help and individuals involved in the Francophone community in Vanier and East Ottawa. The founding members recognized the need for French-language housing services in Ottawa. Historically, Action-Housing provided housing services to all low- and moderate-income Francophone individuals and families living east of the Rideau River. In recent years, the services offered by the organization have also evolved. Action-Housing now focuses on preventing housing loss.
Languages of services offered
Although we are a Francophone organization, our entire team is also able to provide services in English. Some of our team members are also able to provide services in the following languages:

- Swahili
- Kirundi
- Arabic
- Kinyarwanda
- Spanish
